Digital Product Storefront

The weekly routine

A six-week routine to pre-sell, build and launch one small digital product, then a weekly rhythm to keep it selling.

Phase 1: the six-week test

The time estimates are our planning estimates for one small product (a template, checklist pack or short guide), not sourced figures. The free blueprint puts the first product at 20 to 40+ hours.

Week Focus Tasks Output
1 Problem Talk to 10 people in your target group; collect the exact words they use for the problem (prompts 1–2) Problem notes, 3 product ideas
2 Offer Pick one idea; write a one-page offer; make a 1-page preview (prompts 3–5) Offer page draft, preview
3 Pre-sell Share the offer with the people you spoke to and one community you belong to; take pre-orders or written commitments Pre-order count
4 Decide and build If you hit your pre-sale point, build version 1. If not, change the offer once or stop Version 1, or a decision
5 Build and polish Finish, test with 2 buyers, fix what confuses them Finished product
6 Launch Publish the product page; email pre-buyers; post where your buyers are (prompts 9–11) Live product, first sales

Phase 2: the weekly rhythm (after launch)

Day Task Rough time
Mon Answer buyer emails; note questions for an FAQ or an update 30 min
Tue Make one useful free post or piece of content for your buyers (prompt 10) 1.5 h
Wed Share it in the places your buyers already are (no spamming) 1 h
Thu Improve the product page using buyer questions (prompt 12) 1 h
Fri Update the tracker; add one idea to your product list 30 min

That's about 4.5 hours a week, near the low end of the blueprint's 5 to 10 hours a week for marketing, support and improvement.

Checks before you take money

Tip: Pre-sell to people you've actually spoken to. A "would you buy this?" survey answer is much weaker evidence than a payment or a written commitment.
